Bootle, Corney, Whicham & Whitbeck

Corney St John is a simple small church of unknown antiquity, magnificently located on the fellside at Corney. From the west, it receives the full force of the wind off the Irish Sea, while to the east, it commands spectacular views of Black Combe and the fells of Wasdale and Eskdale, including Scafell and Scafell Pike. The small congregation is drawn mainly from the surrounding farms and the few dwellings in the area.

Please see the "Forthcoming Services" page for the service schedule.
