Welcome to the Parish of the Black Combe Churches, with the churches of Bootle St Michael and All Angels, Corney St John the Baptist, Whicham St Mary and Whitbeck St Mary. We are a chain of small Anglican churches spread between the sea and the fells around the foot of Black Combe, serving the farms and villages of the area. Our website gives information about our churches, our worship and the services we offer to our communities.

Our churches are part of the Benefice of the Western Lakes District Churches, the South Calder Mission Community and the Calder Deanery in the Diocese of Carlisle.

In October 2017 the Bishop of Carlisle appointed The Revd Angela Overton-Benge as Assistant Priest in the Black Combe Parish, to support the work of Revd Canon Gill Hart across the Benefice that comprises of the parishes of The Black Combe Churches, Waberthwaite, Muncaster, Eskdale, Irton and Drigg.
